Hi like most of you I am on a cocktail of drugs for my ra and have been getting terrible burning sensations especially during night right under my breast. I do take omeprazole faithfully day and night and I wonder if any of my fellow sufferers have experienced this and if so, any ideas how to get rid of it. Slept very little with it last night as sitting up is much better than lying down when it happens.

Thanks to you all.

Moira

Hi Moira,

I think you should see your GP about it, don't just suffer with it. Maybe you need an increase in the omeprazole, or even a change of stomach protector.
Hope you can get it sorted soon.

Do you think this is acid reflux? I am taking Lansoprazole to help with this and with dysphagia. Have you ever had a barium swallow test to see what's going on with your digestion? I hope it resolves soon.

Thanx ladies, think it might be some kind of acid reflux! Kept a note of when it happens and will discuss with gp in 2 weeks when I go for my blood monitoring!

This forum is fantastic and I certainly feel great knowing I can get answers to so many problems and share experiences!

Thanx to all BigGrin

Sounds like reflux. I had a problem a few months ago and my GP put me on a different
stomach protector - and this made a big difference to me. It is not nice the reflux feeling so
I hope you get sorted shortly
